Why are you a ‘hit for a hit kind of person’? Your question is assuming a moral standpoint, but there isn’t one. Violent retaliation is not moral.
Your desire for retaliation comes from a place where, by being hit, your masculinity has been threatened and it has made you angry and you suddenly feel the need to prove something. Hitting is a primal assertion of dominance, so hitting back is just your way of showing that you’re a manly man. Don’t try and delude yourself into thinking that it’s a moral thing. That by hitting back you are punishing the person that hit you. Bullshit, if it’s about punishment then call the cops. “The cops? What am I, a pussy? Let’s go smash this cunt”. Because it’s got nothing to do with punishment, or justice, or anything moral. It’s just you trying to prove your physical dominance like a fucking gorilla that wants mating privileges.
So what the fuck do you need to prove if a woman hits you? It’s no threat to your fucking masculinity. Walk it off, you’ll actually look tougher. But because you’ve convinced yourself that you’re a ‘hit for a hit kind of person’ because of MORAL DUTY, you’re going to hit a woman in the face. That doesn’t prove anything, and it’s wrong.
tldr; If a woman hits you and poses further threat and you need to protect yourself because you have no alternative (aka walking away), do what you need to do to defend yourself. But if a woman hits you and you just feel like you’re obligated to hit her, don’t.
